Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein hormone composed of alpha and beta subunits. It functions as a luteinizing hormone (LH) analogue and binds directly to LH receptors.

In males, HCG stimulates Leydig cells in the testes to produce endogenous testosterone.

How It Works

1. Binds to LH receptors on Leydig cells
2. Activates intracellular cAMP signaling
3. Stimulates steroidogenesis
4. Increases endogenous testosterone production

Unlike exogenous testosterone, HCG stimulates the testes directly and supports intratesticular testosterone production.

Reconstitution (1 mL Mix)

1. Add 1 mL bacteriostatic water to the 5000 IU vial.
2. Swirl gently until fully dissolved (do not shake).
3. Refrigerate after mixing (2–8 °C).

Final Concentration

• 5000 IU per 1 mL
• 0.1 mL = 500 IU

Insulin Syringe Conversion (1 mL / 100-unit Syringe)

Using a standard 1 mL (100-unit) insulin syringe:

• 5 units = 250 IU
• 10 units = 500 IU
• 20 units = 1000 IU

HCG dosing is measured in International Units (IU) (not milligrams).

How To Use It

On-Cycle Testicular Support

• Dose: 250–500 IU
• Frequency: 2–3 times per week
• Route: Subcutaneous injection

Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) Use

HCG is used in the early phase of Post Cycle Therapy to reactivate testicular function and restore Leydig cell responsiveness.

Cycling Information

• Low-dose support during suppression: 250–500 IU, 2–3× weekly
